What a nasty piece of work is the son-in-law, John Paul (a very effective portrait by Claes Bang). There is always one of these nasty and horrible types in a family.
I just want to be a part of this wonderful tangled family
So watching the sisters conspire and act out Jean Paul’s death is such a treat in the most sinister way! The magic is the bond between the sisters that feels so authentic, the way they care for each other and push each other off with convincing banter.
The added bonus is the clumsy insurance half-brothers who add entertainment value as they try to solve the mysterious case
I haven’t seen the Belgian version, but this British remake looks like it will hold its own, thanks to the performances, playful direction and a script that offers so much after the first two episodes, enough to get you hooked on this black comedy thriller.
