The land grabs threaten to destroy the declining dynasty
Line of Events
When the massive Lawson cattle station lacks an heir, Australia's rival factions see a chance to seize control. The series was filmed across the Northern Territory and South Australia in locations so remote they’re barely inhabited – let alone shown on-screen.
It wasn’t until episode 5 any of them showed any sign of redemption
Locations include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park – with special permission from the Traditional Owners – and Tipperary Station, a real-life, working cattle station that's so large it has its own airfield and school.. This show is filled with amazing talent and the backdrop is beautiful. The plot is believable and easy to follow but the characters are difficult to like.
Episode 5 brings a reunion of sorts then bam
It was just so hard to root for anyone. The entire premise of the show is tragedy upon tragedy. more tragedy. There are only 6 episodes and perhaps episode 6 is what brings it all together but honestly, I was so thoroughly depressed after the 1st 5 episodes I couldn’t take anymore. There is such a lack of balance between hope and despair.
It wasn’t an enjoyable watch for me at all
I only stuck it out as far as I did because I’m such a fan of some of the actors and actresses.
